One year as a 25 year old widow
He created an immensely popular Romantic hero—defiant, melancholy, haunted by secret guilt—for which, to many, he seemed the model. He is also a Romantic paradox: His faceted personality found expression in satire, verse narrative, ode, lyric, speculative drama, historical tragedy, confessional poetry, dramatic monologue, seriocomic epic, and voluminous correspondence, written in Spenserian stanzas, heroic couplets, blank verse, terza rima, ottava rima, and vigorous prose. In his dynamism, sexuality, self-revelation, and demands for freedom for oppressed people everywhere, Byron captivated the Western mind and heart as few writers have, stamping upon nineteenth-century letters, arts, politics, even clothing styles, his image and name as the embodiment of Romanticism.
In the summer of Byron moved with his mother to Aberdeen. His half sister had earlier been sent to her maternal grandmother.

Lawrence Elegy by D. Lawrence Patience by D. The son of a bank cashier, Service was the eldest of four siblings. At the age of five, Service went to Scotland to live with his grandfather and three young aunts, who showered him with attention. A year later, on his sixth birthday, he wrote his first poem. Service rejoined his family in when they moved north to Glasgow, Scotland. Service developed into an excellent student of poetry, and attended the University of Glasgow to study English Literature.
He was quickly identified as one of the brightest in his class, though he also proved to be a bit audacious. Not content with such a response, Service challenged the professor to a fight outside the classroom; the challenge was declined. After a year, the embittered young poet left the university. Soon his interests realigned with his aims for adventure. His reading turned to Rudyard Kipling and Robert Louis Stevenson, and their stories of world explorers in search of fortune and, more important, their own identity.
In , at the age of twenty-one, with a significant amount of savings, Robert announced his dream of going to Western Canada to become a cowboy.

Poem About Looking Forward To Future Together, Happy 1st Anniversary, My Sweet Love!
I have so many thoughts swirling around in my mind that I need to get out. I want so much to remember everything about him, his love for me, and our beautiful life together, yet thoughts of the horrible last few months of his life — watching him slowly fade away, and, ultimately, the day of his death — keep invading and causing an incredible sadness. This poem incorporates all those frenzied thoughts from the sadness of his death to all the joyous things we shared that are absent from my life now.
Sad Poems – When Is It Time? by Kit McCallum. This is a comforting poem, for those who are struggling with the impending loss of a pet. How do you know when it is time to take that final, long, sorrowful journey to the veterinarians?
It’s not the exact date, but based on our history we both agree on that date. She hit me up sometime in August and asked me what are my thoughts on going out and celebrating it. I thought not, and the biggest reason I think not is because we are only dating. We do plan to get married and I see it happening. I don’t see any significance in celebrating the fact that we’ve been dating a year.
The funny thing is when she asked me my thoughts on doing something for the one year, and I said “Not likely”, she said “I knew that’s what you would say”. So I’m thinking “Why did you ask if you knew it “. I’m not being mean, but really I don’t see anything special about dating for a year. I’m looking on the longer, more permanent goal, that of marriage.
A wedding anniversary is much more meaningful.
